“ I spent 3 nights here and was blown away by the experience. To start, the hostess made sure the rooms were in order, showed us all the features (remote control A/C,etc), and was very accommodating. The room was secluded, but not remote - just what I was looking for. We had several meals at the in-house restaurant that were unmatched. Fresh, local, and creative. We signed up for a tour of a cenote with the owner who took us on one of the most interesting and educational tours I've ever experienced. The location was convenient to town, restaurants, water activities, and shopping. We relaxed in the 3rd floor pool and had amazing views, especially from the rooftop. The staff and owners made it feel like staying with friends. I highly recommend a stay there. Any tour given by the owner will be worth the time and cost, and the restaurant should not be missed. ”
“ Worth the trip! This restaurant is a little bit of a walk from the main square but oh so worth it. Friendly staff, tasty pizza, and a nice ambiance. The pizza was homemade for us with such care. A crunchy crust with a soft doughy inside. The shrimp and octopus had a great texture and wasn’t chewy. ”
“ We had the pleasure of staying at Layla's for one night, on our way to Playa Del Carmen. I only wish we could have made Layla's our whole trip! This place was beautiful. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were so lovely. The rooms are clean and charming, the guesthouse is close to downtown and beaches and the staff are all so welcoming. My husband and I had a wonderful breakfast, with the best avocado toast of our life! We will most definitely be back! ”
“ Layla Guesthouse, your hosts Robin and Steven, bring more than a wonderful environment and fantastic meals. They have created a terrific experience in every regard. Let me share. First off, they chose the ideal location to build Layla Guesthouse and then they created the restaurant, the wonderful rooms, and finally a rooftop bar and restaurant where we enjoyed pizzas and cocktails on Sunday evening. The pizzas were hand crafted and amazing. And everyone on the menu could have been ordered and enjoyed. We paired with handmade margaritas that were fantastic. And then we sat over the ocean and enjoyed a wonderful meal in this perfect environment. As a treat, Robin came over to welcome us and to share his current projects in the area. From raising money for schools, to education around coral reef restoration to raising money for a dialysis machine, Robin is always making Puerto Morelos and better community. It was such a pleasant evening. I thank the chef and our server, Miguel, enough for a wonderful experience. ”

“ This Mayan/Cenote tour was in the top 5 best experiences & days of my life! I have happy tears and my heart is so full! Paz is the perfect human to be giving the tours. You can tell how much he loves the land, the people...& life in general. So many thanks to Robin for coordinating/designing such an amazing day for us! The details of the tour shows how much love was put into it. I literally loved every single stop & all the beautiful things I learned and saw. The final place was having an authentic Mayan lunch where they welcomed us into their home. Such a blessing! Sending love and light ! ”
“ It’s been a pleasure to know the beauty team at Layla! They have accompanied me in so many adventures with the medals world, each one revealing a different way of seeing myself! I absolutely love the attention, professionalism and care they deliver each and every time! The owner is an amazing woman and has been very helpful making sure that my concerns are met! ”
“ My review is about the restaurant only. The restaurant has good vegan/vegetarian food. It's not easy to find vegetarian food in Mexico. Layla has tasty vegetarian options such as the vegan pizza. The chef does a good job! Beautiful presentation. Portion size is big. I feel that the price is a little bit pricey. We paid 969 pesos for one appetizer (beet salad), 2 main (veggie tacos and vegan pizza), and three drinks (1 margarita, 1 beer, and fruit drink). Maybe the price is normal for a touristy place like Puerto Morales. Friendly and helpful servers. Food served can be slower when it's dinner peak time. ”
